1. Can we fire a Gun in Space :

First of all we know that if we fire anything then we need oxygen and if we shot a bullet it will also require oxygen. when we fire gun on earth then bullet uses atmospheric oxygen to ignite the gun powder but what about the space, "as we know there is no oxygen in space that's why we can't fire a gun in space" but we should know that modern guns carry their own oxidizing agent so there is no need of atmospheric oxygen to ignite the propellant or gun powder, so we can fire a gun in space.

Let's move on after firing the gun in space what would happen.

2. Will we hear any sound after firing :

When anyone fire a gun on earth we hear a powerful sound ,sound requires medium to travel. On earth we can hear the sound of fired bullet because of air but our space is vacuum (vacuum mean there is nothing) so after firing, bullet sound can not travel in space and would not reach our ears,

In simple we cant hear the sound of the fired bullet.

This means that our space has inbuilt silencer.

3. Recoiling of gun :

What is recoiling of gun, Don't worry I am not teaching you science I'm only explaining it in simple term that when your fire a gun then you feel a backward movement or backward jerk that is recoiling.

Remember Newton's third law of motion every action has equal and opposite reaction therefore while firing, bullet goes forward it also exert a backward force on you, and due to gravity on earth our feet remains on the earth's surface but in space you will be flying in opposite direction.

4. Speed of Bullet :

Instantaneously after firing the speed of bullet on earth and space should be approximately same, Every gun has it's different velocities. On earth speed of bullet slows down because of air friction but in space it would not slow down and remains at it's initial speed.

5. Will bullet stop?

This one is the most interesting fact of all.

After firing the bullet , it would not slow down and and it's speed will be same therefore after firing the bullet will travel forever unless it hit's something in the space. another reason for bullet travelling forever is that our universe is expanding at faster rate than any bullet so in this case universe keep expanding and bullet keep travelling.
